Would you believe it! Went into Halfords on the way home this evening to get the coolant and distilled water and they have run out of the water! Apparently all the old biddys buy it for their irons  Undecided cheapest place in town by all accounts lol

Cheers JJ  Smiley ive put out a search on the breakeryard website as well to see what they can come up with. Tomorrow I will drain and flush the system and see how that helps.

That is good news  Smiley Im still having the same old problem with my van  Angry when its warm after a run it becomes very spluttery when pulling away at roundabouts and off traffic lights! It seems to be eased if I pull the choke out which would indicate the carb yet again!!!! Ive stripped it a couple of times now and I know its clean so it must be one of the gizzmo's attached to it?

Hi Andy,

I had exactly the same problem with my van.  I changed the carb (because I couldn't lower the idle) checked the timing (which was way out; the garage hadn't done it properly because the advance had kicked in because I couldn't lower the revs) and then checked my points. She now runs better than I have ever known her to.  So before you repair your carb double check your timing and points are set correctly.

Cheers
