Looking for a fuel tank for a rascal pickup (heard rare as rocking horse poo), any ideas?  Dell boy?

Cheers

Yeah,

I have one leak by the fuel spout and one on the upper half of the tank near the seal Sad

Chemical metal seems to have stopped it for now (but fuel level is lower after a good 20mile drive!) , will whip it off this weekend and see how bad the inside is.

A mate of mine owns a garage and they take care of a Bambi for one of their customers, whose tank was also leaking.  They tried everywhere to get a tank but any secondhand ones are all in the same sort of nick.  In the end he had a stainless one made for about £140 and i seem to remember him saying that when it was made, they also managed to make it bigger and so able to carry more fuel.  Not much help i know but might be an avenue  worth exploring.

Cheers Matt

It is an option , there are a few places round here that do it. Gonna get my MOT out of the way first with tank close to empty!

Chemical metal the outside and petseal the inside.
Will take at least a week with the tank separated from the van.
Was a darn sight easier on my motorcycles, but it has cured every sort of fuel leak
from corroded seams, rusted petrol taps, tanks left outside for five years...
You name it, this combo has worked but you need to do a lot of work to get it right.

Cheaper and quicker than betting a new tank made up.
