Well since Ive the weekend to myself :-) I decided to start the clean up process on my Van. Today I spent the afternoon scraping and painting the underside in CureRust. And this evening began to paint the underside in White smoothright, I want to do all of the underside and axle etc in this finish, so it is easy to clean and spot potential problem areas in the future. In the next few weeks I hope to have the new alloys fitted and the Poptop installed. The final planned paint scheme is similar to the VW campers using cream over top and a light pastel blue on the lower half. This project is going to take a long time to complete as feeding the kids comes first lol. I will try and upload some photos as and when progress is made. Thanks again to JJ for his recent help in acquiring the pop top :-) and also Van, and everyone else who contributes on this website. Cheers Andy

I dont know about the shower thing guys lol, but sure could have done with an eyewash sunday! Spent all afternoon down the hospital with a piece of rust stuck under my eyelid! resulting in a scratched cornea! Moral of this story! Keep yr goggles on, nomatter how hot it is :-(. Half of the underside of the van is now gleaming white :-) Although had to remove the Spare wheel/exhaust/fuel tank/ fuel pump/ shocks/battery box in order to accomplish this. Am now considering removing the engine and gearbox etc. This will have to wait till ive some time off work as the van is in daily use.

I have rigged up a watering can with rope for a shower before... works well as long as the weather or water is warm.
