Hi folks with sinks & cookers etc.

I think this section is intended for all Rascarrys regardless of the body fitted, let's get some of the 'other clubs' members posting on here eh??

There's a lot of potential for you all I'm sure and it will make good reading for us without a fibreglass back!!

Hi Titch, yes I'm sure it's meant for that, but don't know if there's enough of us campervaners to make this area viable.

We use ours just for festivals, we're looking forward to Glastonbury but as we'll be selling it after that.   It's been great (we've even written articles on it for a magazine!) but we don't use it enough really.

It would be good to have a camper but i would not get the use i will out of my windowed van, i always carry a brew kit ,Fridge,Stove and Ratpack i also have a built in fold out table and little seat with storage and find the van sufficient to sleep in and with my single airbed much more comfortable than the tent i carry and the bonus being it can all be stowed in the overhead storage net when i need to carry something gopping ...still i guess it would be great to have a purpose built for Glasto(have'nt been since 1999 when it started getting naff/or i started getting old!!)

Hi Daz

Glastonbury is still wonderful!  The first year (think it was 4 years ago) we tented, ever since then we've trundled down in the Romahome.  For festivals a long way away, Scotland, eg, I think I'd hire a van.  What do you for lighting?

Hey! We're here. Not enough members to make it viable, then, but now, certainly!  Grin

We're selling our fleet, and the Bambi is used, even today, as the second vehicle.

Hi fellow Campervanners, just to note that there are other Nipper owners around. I have enjoyed my 1990 Elddis Nipper for five years and hope that it lasts another five. Smiley

I thought I'd stick my two penneth in.

We've now got a Romahome 2 on a rascal.  Liked all of the variants and we considered Bambis's, Nippers and Romahome's or even a poptop such as a Danbury.  We were looking for over a year (6 months serious searching) and saw some right junk.  I really like the Nipper for the extra room/quality of the interior, but just couldn't find a nice one within a reasonable distance/budget.  A Bambi did turn up at a local dealer, but a Romahome turned up in a private sale locally at the same time.  I didn't think I'd like them, but actually they are very nice and have the advantage of being impervious to leaks not being coachbuilt.

Anyway, to cut a long story short we bought it and have had a few weekends away.  The first weekend was the only time its let us down - but an AA man later and it got us home.  We've had the cambelt done and have given it a full service and the starting is now a lot better.  We're currently just enjoying and slowly doing some of the 'nice' jobs now such as new carpets etc.

Will have to put some photo's up.

One of the Nicknames its picked up is 'THUMPER' - cos its not a Bambi!

Glad we found this website and the friendly folks on it and hope to enjoy the 'rascally' rascal.

Cheers

Mark
