Bought it from a popular auction site!  Only had it a few months, saw it and thought it would be a very very good spare to have on the shelf, but money is tight and i am soon to be parting with the van so i have decided to sell it on.

Its identical to the one fitted to my 1990 van and my previous 1989 van. I also have 2 secondhand carbs "in stock" that are identical too.  Maybe Derek can offer an opinion or shed some light as to how Carbs have changed over the years, the only difference i am aware of is the later Supercarrys have Carbs that have emissions bits and pieces on - this carb is not suitable for them.

Hello Matt, Sorry to hear your selling your van. Yes, all pre emission carbs are the same up to 1994 when an even more complicated one was introduced on the late Supercarry`s. Derek.

Thanks Derek, i thought that was the case with the Carbs.

It is with a heavy heart that the van will be up for sale and something i have thought long and hard about.  I am finding the need to make more and more motorway journeys and to be honest i am "losing my bottle" in the Rascal.  It has been and amazing van and perfect for everything i have needed up until now.  It is a fantastic vehicle for round town, parking, taking the dog to the beach in, tip runs and very economical, but i just don't feel very safe in it as soon as i get out on major roads.  I also have my daughter with me quite often and her safety is a priority.  The sale isn't immediate, it will be in the next couple of months.

What's your van like? Colour? Condition? I could be interested depending on where you're located over there.

Hi Bryan, there are some pictures in the "my van" section.  It is one of Dereks refurb vans that i have owned for 3 years.  Overall very good condition, slight rust developing on arches.  When i'm ready to sell i will make a comprehensive list of all the bits i have replaced, refurbed etc and list any extras.  i am based near Margate in Kent which couldn't be much further away from you!
