Hi JJ,

Would these be a better bet http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290302208491&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT expensive I know but would save drilling.

Also what kind of spacers have you used are they hubcentric or universal?

Cheers

63mm with a 20mm spacer is to long for my alloys,0nly got away with it because i have longer nuts.spacers are universal, not a problem drilling and the studs i got were about £1.40 each

Ford studs are the ones I used, had to drill out about 1mm (memory???) to take them.
I used an Autograss racing supplier for mine. Plus you'll easily get chrome nuts for any Ford

this is a copy of the thread i did on the old forum:

Quote
i have fitted alloys and longer studs to my van, and so far, all seems ok
if i knew what i know now, i would have gone for slightly shorter studs
details of the whole project are here:
http://rascals.11.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=96

i bought 12x1.5x65mm studs - these were described as ford studs 1" longer
they did not fit through the holes in the hub, so i ended up drilling the holes out with a 13mm drill bit

i fitted 6.5j wheels with a 42ET
they required 19-20mm spacers all around with narrow tyres on the front
when i did up the wheel nuts i managed about 13 turns
your van woud be ok with 6 turns, so 7 turns were not needed

next size down is 12x1.5x60mm, these would give you 10 turns
next size down after that is something like 12x1.5x53mm, these were described as ford studs 1/2" longer, which would give you 5 turns. that might be enough.

The reason you need the studs to be as short as possible, is to make fitting them easier. 65mm studs were a pain to get in, my project link above expains what i had to do. 53mm studs might just be short enough to avoid what i needed to do.

ALL THIS INFO IS BASED ON MY FINDINGS WITH THE ABOVE SIZED WHEEL/TYRES/SPACER. I FEEL IT IS CORRECT, BUT IT MUST ONLY BE USED AS A GUIDE

If you tell me what size wheel/tyre you have i will do my best to help

If someone ever does what i have done with shorter bolts, be esure to let me know how it went

demontweeks.co.uk are very good for things like that as they cater for your typical escort/corsa etc, but also do motorsport stuff so they can get allsorts of studs/nuts/spacers/spiggot rings
