I have discovered a slight bug with the forum that I cannot seem to fix, it seems to do with how you browse it.

If you keep getting asked to log-in when just browsing from message to message, please try clearing your private data and this should sort the issue.

To do it in Firefox follow this guide: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/clearing+private+data#Clearing_your_private_data
(Make sure to clear cache and cookies)

To do it in Explorer follow this guide: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx
(Also click the button to clear cookies)

Hope this helps,
-Van
(Any other problems please email me: vandrederic@rascalenthusiasts.com)

I don't ever get asked to log in... so if there is a glitch, it's not affecting me... Anyone else??
P.S.   I am using a Mac so maybe that has something to do with it...

I have a new to me computer & I now have to log on every time which I didn`t have to on my old computer. Also I have the wrong password jammed in the top box & I can`t get rid of it so I could use my password to log straight on. Any advice? Derek.

Dell, depending on your browser you need to go into Tools-> Properties and find the section where it remembers your password...and then clear it.

After that, select stay logged on forever...that should keep you on the site.

Also, depending on your browser it should then ask if you want it to remember your details, so if you are logged out of the site...you just click log-in without having to re-enter your details all the time Wink

David, it should be working...make sure your coming to this site via www.rascalenthusiasts.com - Beyond that, just check your browser settings to be sure it is not clearing your 'cookies' every time you close it.

Still no joy. It very rarely lets me log in. On the odd occasion when I can if I try to post it frequently wont let me! I've been trying to post this morning but it only let me do this one - for others its saying 'you already posted 60 seconds ago' (when I didn't) or 'you already sent this post' (when I have even though its not showing it!)

Hmm, that sounds a bit like the teething trouble we had when we first opened up.

Spacehopper, Can you PM me when it happens again...i.e. date/time and I will see if anything is playing up at our end.

Have you tried clearing your browsers history / got the latest browser?

I think it is only you and one or two others that are having the trouble Huh

I have the same issues - both in the quick login box, and the larger login dialogue. I have to swap it about and have a go in either, as sometimes it just sits there and times out...

I also have issues with posting at times, with the same '60 second' error that is mentioned above, but it seems fairly random!

Thanks for the info guys.

The forum software is due to be upgraded soon, so hopefully this will fix these minor bugs Smiley

Once it is reset, clear all your browsers cookies/cache and then give it a go. Should be fine Smiley

I know I have personally had issues when using Internet Explorer 7.0, but firefox seems perfectly fine.
